  Grant County Clean Sweep
A Clean Sweep Program will be offered for residents of Grant County on September 11 at the Agriliance Agronomy Center in Lancaster (5371 Commercial Road) from 8 a.m. to noon.
A licensed hazardous waster disposal firm will collect chemicals at each site.  A fee applies.  Pre-registration is required by calling Grant County UW-Extension Office at 608-723-2125.

  Family Movie Night In the Park (Arborvitae Park)
Family Movie Night Benefits Arborvitae Park
Plans are under way by the Arborvitae committee to sponsor a Family Movie Night in the Park (Arborvitae Park).  Two movies will shown between 8:30 to 11:30 p.m.   The first movie begins at 8:30 and the second movie at 10 p.m.  Feel free to bring chairs, blankets and pillows for your viewing comfort. All proceeds go toward the cost of new playground equipment for Arborvita Park which is estimated to cost $25,000. 
In the event of rain Movie Night will be held the following Saturday, Sept 18.  A concession stand will open at 8 p.m.

  Annual Heritage Day at Fennimore Railroad Museum
The Fennimore Historical Railroad Museum (610 Lincoln Avenue) will host their Annual Heritage Day on the grounds of the Museum.  Wide variety of antique cars and tractors, hit and miss engines and Old World demonstrations.  The Hole in the Sock theatre group will host a presentation at 11;30 a.m.   Food stand at the Fennimore Doll and Toy Museums new location behind Subway by Friends of the Fennimore Doll and Toy Museum 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Friends of the Fennimore Doll and Toy Museum invites you to stop by for a tour of the Museum while attending all the Sept 26 events in Fennimore.   The Friends will have a food stand outside the Museum from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.   Proceeds will be used to support the Museum.
