Solar Farm Information

Fennimore Industrial and Economic Development Corporation (FIEDC) and City of Fennimore representatives held a ribbon cutting ceremony early July of 2019. The NEW 18 acre solar farm is located on private farm land the south end of Foxmoor Drive. The farm is owned by Blue Earth – Fennimore Utilities has a 25 year agreement with Blue Earth which assures competitive electric rates. The privately owned solar farm will produce electricity which represents 18 % of Fennimore’s annual electric needs. Fennimore currently purchase 20% from wind energy, bringing us up to 38% will be provided by renewal energy. Far exceeding the City of Fennimore’s 2020 goals. Fennimore currently has the third lowest electric rates in Wisconsin.
